These courses allow you to increase your knowledge and skills on various levels. The courses do not lead to certification cards (except when PADI is mentioned), but rather help you to gain hands-on experience or learn different diving techniques.
Absolute Drysuit
This course will help you master diving in a drysuit and can be useful for new divers or experienced drysuit divers alike. Perfect your buoyancy, adjust your trim and say goodbye to those ankle weights!
Absolute Buoyancy control
Do you want to control your buoyancy and feel more comfortable while diving? Have you noticed using your hands to change directions rather than your fins? This course is for you!
Finning Techniques
Most divers use only one or two different finning techniques. Beyond traditional finning, you can learn many other ways to increase your efficiency in particular circumstances. Learn how to fin to avoid lifting silt, to adjust your position or to gain power.
Quebec Fish ID
Quebec’s rivers, lakes and salt water bodies are populated by fascinating creatures. Learn more about them. What are they? Where are they? Learn how to correctly identify them.
Quebec Marine Biology
Now that you have learned how to identify Quebec’s species, you may want to find out more about specific behaviors such as feeding and reproduction. This course will open your eyes and allow you to experience Quebec’s waters in a whole new way.
Underwater navigation
Are you tired of getting lost? Do you want to master the use of your compass or conduct complex navigation patterns? Do you rather want to learn how to efficiently navigate using natural or visual references? If so, this course is for you!
Greenland Shark PADI
This PADI distinctive specialty course is unique in the world! Discover this prehistoric looking shark and maybe even encounter it underwater. Although sightings in Quebec’s Baie-Comeau area are now rare, it remains one of the only places in the world where Greenland sharks may be naturally encountered at recreational depths.
Full Face PADI
This PADI specialty teaches you how to dive with a full face mask. Learn the specific techniques for diving with this type of mask, whether you use communication capabilities or not. Full face masks can also be a valuable tool to increase your comfort during cold water dives.
Zombie Apocalypse PADI
Another distinctive specialty course which counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating and one of the most amusing! Learn and practice skills that may allow you to survive a zombie invasion. Learn rescue techniques, search and recovery methods and practice your buoyancy.
